Welcome to our new website - still a work in progress. Most of our interactions are in person at juried crafts shows, but we realize many customers cannot make it to the exhibitions. For you, we are trying to make it easier to see our designs and to purchase at home, off-site. Please bear with us as we negotiate this new territory and let us know how we're doing.
This is usually a space where I tell my customers where I will be showing my latest jewelry. Usually, you can find me at some leafy autumn spot inside a big white tent showing earrings and bracelets. This is the space where I tell you WHICH leafy venue you'll find me at any given time. But this year is different. This year, I'm stepping away from my show schedule to return to my first love: knitting. From Oct. 19 to 21, you can find me at the Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival in upstate New York.
I'll be looking for some hand-dyed yarn for a new batch of hats. I give my hand knits away in November when my son brings his California friends home for Thanksgiving. I'm also on the lookout for wool to make fingerless gloves. The kids like gloves they can use when they're texting.
I also want to spend some time with the animals, to appreciate the fact that yarn comes from sheep -- not Amazon.com.
But most of all I want to spend time with knitters. I love knitters. They're such a practical and cheerful bunch. When everyone else is talking, knitters are doing. Knitters are dreamers who actually make things happen.
So pardon me if I"m out of circulation for awhile. I'll be back at the end of the month, renewed.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
